Some Mondays are just plain good!

Today's visit to the doctor was a productive one.  He did change a few of the medications, not by much, but hopefully to achieve a better management. The doctor did confirm something that I have always know.  He told us to give her Maalox twice a day, to clean out her system, as her stomach was some what distended. (Translation-she is full of crap!) Yep I was right!!! Ha Ha I found allot more humor in this than did she!

The better of the news is that she should qualify for the Pfizer full copay cost. So her medication should be totally covered.  (At least that is what they tell me)  Now it is just a hurry up and wait.  I seem to be doing allot of that lately.  What a difference a day makes.  Hoping to find out tomorrow, or we will cover the cost out of pocket.  Either way, she will be back on the medication that seems to be slowing the progression of the cell growth.

We also have accepted help from hospice. There is additional assistance through them, that she is not eligible for otherwise.  It was tough to hear, but we have, as with the other stumbling blocks we have encountered, accepted it with the grace and love of our Heavenly Father. Knowing that we can get through whatever we need to face in the future.

Now to get my home ready for our much anticipated company.  Mom is so very excited to have her siblings all in one place at the same time, if even for a brief moment. She has been preparing for them, for what I am sure will be a non stop compilation of stories of the past and not do distant past.  Catching up on each others families.  Bragging on the kids and grand kids, and even the great grand kids.  Were does all the time go.  We blink and the next time you look in the mirror, you have grey hair.(not me, but the rest of you-I still have not had to color my 2 or 3 grey hairs!!!) Just how does that happen?  The getting old part.............

It is times like these that make us truly appreciate the phrase, "Life is short-don't waste a second of it!"

Luv to all,
tell the ones you love....That you love them!
