We left the house by 8am, and headed to Wichita Falls. I can't deny the high level of anticipation at what the assessment would be today. We have had a few small setbacks, and of course the diagnosis of "CANCER" alone is enough to create an added dose of depression for everyone concerned.
But, after the chest X-ray, and labs the doctor informed us he had both good and not so good news. The good news, is there appear to be less nodules in her x-ray than the one 2 weeks prior. Awesome news- and I quickly raised my head to the heavens for a heart felt thank you to our Heavenly Father who has been with us from the beginning.
The not so good news--insurance is still in progress for the chemo medication. Mom finished the the sample bottle he gave her, yesterday. We are suppose to hear tomorrow, so again I will have cramped hands and feet from crossing the toes and fingers!
Getting the patient assistance may be a longer process, so once again, we hurry up and wait! But with the better news, the waiting is not quite so painful this go 'round!
In celebration, we went Olive Garden for Lunch. Mom was introduced to the 'Tour of Italy" the fettachini was her favorite. Now I know were Christine gets it from. Steve enjoyed a sampler plater, which included calamari. Glad he got those slimey sea creatures instead of me!
Just want to spread the thought around that prayer does work, mom is currently proof of that. Keep them coming and working together, we can beat this!
To those of you who are also meeting challenges and health issues of your own, we wish you the love and comfort of our Heavenly Father. May you feel his loving arms wrapped all around you! With him all things are possible.
Luv and prayers to all.
Good to hear it. I will keep sending my prayers your way. Love Leola
